Wwdc 2022 stream8/18/2023 At this point, that's only the Pro models. Rumours have also circulated that high-powered multimedia software like Xcode, Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro will finally be making their way to the iPad with this update, but only tablets with the M1 chip. We're likely to see iPad OS trend even more strongly in the direction of MacOS, including greater incorporation of Apple mice. Like past WWDCs, the 2022 version will begin with an opening day keynote, which gets started at 1 p.m. iPadOS 16Īpple's mobile operating systems were split up in 2019, and have been steadily diverging ever since. This years edition of Apples Worldwide Developers Conference runs from June 6 to June 10. Car crash detection that automatically contacts emergency services has also been rumoured. It is expected to be available on the iPhone 7 and beyond, and may feature AR/VR integration to prepare for an upcoming Apple Headset. The WWDC's headline reveal will be iOS 16. Keep in mind, generally when something is unveiled at WWDC, it enters a beta phase for developers and is not available to the public for some time. Here are the software reveals you're likely to see announced at Apple WWDC 2022. You'll be able to catch the WWDC keynote live via the Apple TV+ app, on Apple's website or on its YouTube channel, where it will almost certainly be uploaded upon completion, for those of you who aren't completely nocturnal. The keynote presentation will take place on 7 June, at 3am AEST. The WWDC 2022 Live Streaming will be available on the Apple official website, Apple TV+ app, and Apple’s. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming Apple WWDC. The WWDC Keynote Live Streaming will begin on 6th June 2022 at 10.30 PM IST (10 AM PST). Even if you're not planning on uploading a new crypto-trading app to the iOS Store anytime soon, there will still be plenty of important announcements to keep an eye out for. The annual Worldwide Developers Conference will take place from 7-11 June and there are sure to be plenty of announcements affecting ordinary consumers.Īpple's annual conference for developers is set to go ahead in a digital-only format in 2022. Best travel insurance in Australia June 2023.All international money transfer services.High interest savings accounts Australia.Excited to dive into the watchOS 9 betasĮven though watchOS 9 didn't give us everything I had hoped for, I'm pleasantly surprised that there are many new features and changes to explore. I hoped watchOS 9 would improve the App View on Apple Watch, but alas, it looks like I'll have to wait until next year. Instead, it's just a giant scrolling list of all the apps installed on your Apple Watch. The List view (the only other view) is more organized, but it's no more useful. I don't know how anyone uses the Grid view for their App View on Apple Watch - it's a mess. While these are welcome changes, I was hoping for a much more significant change to the UI of the Apple Watch. This will make it much easier to switch between apps when you want because you shouldn't have to search for the apps you're currently using. Now, in watchOS 9, the Dock will promote the apps currently in use over all the other apps in the Dock. The Apple Watch Dock once just showed your open apps in a list. On top of that, the Apple Watch Dock is getting a little refreshed. These new notifications are also smart, and they will only use the new slimmer banners when your actively using your Apple Watch. Notifications have been redesigned to be less interruption in watchOS 9, meaning the banners are much slimmer and take upon less screen space. While it didn't make the same waves like all the features announced during the keynote, some of the changes in watchOS 9 you may have missed are some slight UI improvements. The UI gets some help I'd like to see more Of course, all your sleep stage data will be viewable on your Apple Watch in the Sleep app, and you can even view more detailed breakdowns of your time asleep in the health app on your iPhone. With the introduction of Sleep Stages, using both the accelerometer and heart rate sensor in your Appel Watch, watchOS 9 will detect when you are in REM, Core, or Deep sleep. Since the Sleep app came out in watchOS 7 and sleep tracking became possible on your Apple Watch, I have been hoping for a more robust experience, and watchOS 9 looks to have the answer. Laser eyes sifl and olly8/18/2023 There are a number of running segments in the show: He is much more excitable and is prone to sudden irrational enthusiasms for dressing like David Bowie or becoming a pretentious performance artist. Olly is white, with a tuft of bright yellow hair and a little doggy nose. Sifl is dark green with light green "hair" (kinda looks like dandelion leaves, actually) he is the more mature and responsible of the two, you can tell he's the one who does all the paperwork and writes the checks. Judging by their attitudes and voices, these sock puppets seem to be in their very early twenties. A lot of the appeal of the show is not in actual jokes or gags, but in the lively and likeable personalties of the guys in the socks. The show was created by longtime chums Matt Crocco and Liam Lynch, who basically did everything themselves literally in the kitchen with low tech stuff you could buy at Radio Shack. But I've also seen people watch the show with a blank uncomprehending stare, so it's obviously not for everyone. I personally find their comedy very inventive, original and hilarious in a bizarro way. Sifl and Olly inhabit the Sock Puppet Universe, where they run their own TV show featuring interviews, skits and songs. As it is, I went through one of my occasional bouts of intense obsession at the time and taped every episode I could catch. maybe keeping an eye on eBay or might turn them up. (Feh) All three seasons of SIFL & OLLY were reportedly available on DVD at some point but I've never found them. There was a third season filmed but it was never aire as MTV thought its sleazy REAL WORLD shows and crass CELEBRITY DEATHMATCH were more sophisticated and enlightened. SIFL & OLLY aired on MTV in 19, usually shown at 12:30 AM or some other inaccessible hour. Whoa, this is going to be a little hard to explain if you've never seen it.

Writing challenge november8/18/2023 Contrary to popular belief, the challenge isn’t really to write an entire novel in a month–it’s to write 50,000 words of a novel, which is not a whole lot less difficult. NaNoWriMo is perhaps the best-known writing challenge, and it’s a doozy. They enter the month as elementary school teachers, mechanics, or stay-at-home parents. Now, each year on November 1, hundreds of thousands of people around the world begin to write, determined to end the month with 50,000 words of a brand new novel. “National Novel Writing Month began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel in thirty days. And lucky for you, we’ve compiled a list of some writing challenges you can participate in! Here are nine writing challenges to enter: 1. If you’re looking to try something new, power through a difficult draft, or just crank out words, writing challenges might be worth checking out. The momentum might not last forever, but you don’t need it to! The goal is to have fun and make something. You get to stay in the comfort of your own home, but you’re meeting people online, you’re working on a new project, and the whole enterprise has that fun, novel feeling you get at summer camp. What more could you need?įor me, personally, writing challenges often feel a little bit like writing camp. You can flex your writing muscles, maybe try something new, and have some fellow participants to commiserate with. Of course, you don’t need to write every single day to be a ‘real writer,’ but just like athletes do marathons, writers can get a lot out of a good challenge. Writing challenges also encourage writers to practice, often every day. This sense of community helps writers amp each other up–it’s a team dynamic we don’t often get to experience as writers, and it can make the world of difference powering through a first draft or a difficult round of revisions. First and foremost, they connect a participant to a community of writers participating in the same challenge. Writing challenges do a few excellent things for their participants. If there isn’t a prize, why should you bother? Why Should I Try a Writing Challenge? They’re challenges created for writers with the intent of getting writers to, well, write! These aren’t writing contests–there often isn’t a cash prize or publication prize for people who participate in writing challenges. Writing challenges are exactly what they sound like. It can feel a little like getting stranded, and it’s no wonder some writers jump ship on their projects.īut it doesn’t need to be so lonely, nor does it need to be boring! Participating in a writing challenge might be your ticket out of that sticky spot. Sometimes we fall into a formula when we write books, or we can’t get ourselves past the first few chapters of an idea, or we’re stuck in the dreaded middle section of our novel for what feels like forever. Writing can get kind of lonely sometimes.

This is particularly seen in the fitting of the hull sections which come in separate bow and stern sections for both upper and lower hulls. On initial inspection the details are nicely moulded, but be aware that this is more like a limited run kit and as such will require a bit more fettling and fitting than a model from one of the larger mainstream manufacturers, it is not a shake and bake. Also included are two small etched sheets, a tiny clear styrene sprue and a sheet of decals. Inside there are four hull sections, two smallish sprues and two separate parts for the fin all in a light to medium grey styrene. The kit comes in a colourful top opening box with what looks like an actual photograph of a Typhoon on the lid. This is my first look at a Mikro Mir kit in its raw state and I have to say initial impressions are pretty good. Some of the ideas proposed were to refit the ships as natural gas, oil and cargo transports capable of delivering large quantities of stores to Russia's most northern outposts. Interestingly enough, before the final decision was made to scrap all but one of the remaining Typhoons, the shipyard that originally built them was floating some pretty wild concepts in an attempt to see that they were refurbished and put back into active service. In their place, the more streamlined, efficient and cost effective Borei Class, although not necessarily cheaper to build, and its second generation derivative, which were designed around the RSM-56 SLBM, will solidify its grim role as Russia's primary second strike nuclear deterrent. The two other remaining Typhoons that were still in Russia's reserve inventory are being scrapped as the cost of refitting and operating them is deemed too high. Today a single boat, the first of her class, the Dmitriy Donskoy, is still in service, acting partially as a missile development test boat as she was updated and converted to carry the newest Russian SLBM, the RSM-56 "Bulava." In the end just six Typhoons were built during the 1980s, and most were withdrawn from service within a decade and a half of their christening. Additionally, these ships were prime targets on America's nuclear hit lists while in port as they could launch their missiles even while tied up to the dock if the orders to end the world as we knew it were ever given. In effect, tracking these suckers was a top priority for NATO, and especially the US, and it was not that easy for America's silent service to do so. What made the Typhoons even more threatening was that they were among the quietest vessels ever built by the USSR, and they were fast, capable of hitting around 28kts underwater. Additionally, she possessed six 533mm tubes that were capable of launching Type 53 torpedoes and SS-N-15 "Starfish" cruise missiles, although these were tertiary capabilities in comparison to her primary mission as a nuclear "second strike" deterrent. Seeing as the ship was designed with Arctic patrols in mind, she could break through the ice and fire all of her missiles while surfaced if need be. In other words, this submarine could rain two hundred nuclear warheads down on western cities and military installations in a single barrage. They could carry 20 R-39 SLBMs, each with 10 multiple re-entry vehicle (MIRV) warheads. The Typhoon's massive tonnage comes from the fact that they were basically two Delta Class submarine hulls mated together and built outward from there. A submerged Typhoon was said to reach 48,000 tons, while its western equivalent, the almost as long Ohio Class "boomer," displaced "just" 19,000 tons. She was half the length of an Nimitz class aircraft carrier and about 2/5ths its displacement. Built primarily for long missions under the polar icecap, the sheer size of the Typhoon, known indigenously as the Akula Class, was simply mind blowing.

DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks. Validate Understanding Core Azure Networking Products.Azure Bastion is a connectivity platform for your Virtual Machines in your Azure VNET.Ī Bastion is deployed in your required VNETĪn admin can connect to the Azure Portal and then choose to connect via Bastion to a VM with a click over either SSH or RDP. We can browse to our Bastion in the Azure Portal and see our active session. The only other thing we need to allocate is a Public IP, so we will do this as part of the ARM template in the GUI.Īpart from maybe changing the Resource Group or hooking up to a premade Public IP object, thats pretty much it for the creation of the Bastion PaaS Service.Īfter a few minutes, our Bastion has been provisioned and we can connect to our VM.Įnter the Username and Password of your VM and click ‘Connect’Īnd there we have it, we are connected via the Bowser/Bastion to our VM! Azure Bastion requires a minimum of a /27 bit range, so because I have a large CIDR Block allocated I’m just going to keep this straight forward and use an entire /24 range of 172.16.200.0/24, basically so we know that anything with an address of 172.16.200.X will be something to do with Bastion! Here I have created our AzureBastionSubnet quite high in my VNET range as you will find there are many things that require specific subnets as you work through the Networking features of Azure. Now, as a prerequisite, Azure Bastion is expecting to find a Subnet named ‘AzureBastionSubnet’, so we can quickly set this up by clicking on the link ‘Manage Subnet Configuration’ We are presented with a screen to configure Bastion. Remember that this VM does NOT have a public IP, so is not contactable to anything outside of the Azure VNET that it is currently located. So, I’m going to view the VM in the Azure Portal and select ‘Connect’, then select ‘Bastion’. For our purposes here, I will walk through a quick way to set up a Bastion in your subscription. We can use a variety of ways to configure Bastion, PowerShell, CLI, Portal etc. I have a Basic Virtual Machine in my Subscription called ‘VM01’ It is connected to my Jonnychipz-VNET in the ‘Servers’ Subnet, so will have a private IP of 172.16.1.0/24. All of these techniques are highly frowned up on by any security teams and quite frankly, you would NEVER do in a production environment, so using Azure Bastion offers secure access to your Azure hosted VM’s via a Browser!Īs alluded above, Azure Bastion offers a Secure way to access your resources in Azure at the same time as keeping your Security team smiling and happy!įirstly, lets set the scope. If you are an IT Pro or in some form of admin function, you will know what a ‘Jump Box’ is, and Azure Bastion in layman’s terms is an answer to this concept.īastion is a secure PaaS offering in Azure that you can create and configure to offer TLS connections to your servers (RDP or SSH) without the need to provision a specific server with published access via a firewall, without the need to provide a public IP directly onto your internal servers etc. So Bastion went GA quite a few months ago now and I did have a little play with it then, but thought this would make a nice little article. In keeping with my #AzureNetworking series, Azure Bastion seems like a nice place to move to next! |
